Nutritional Assessment
nutritional assessment
- Refers to the degree of balance between nutrient intake and nutrient requirement (quantity and quality). This balance is affected by many factors, including physiologic, physical developmental, cultural and economic factors.
Our doctors will take a comprehensive history of your child including but not limited to:
- Medical History
- Physical examination
- Anthropometric measurements: weight, length (<2 years old) / height (>2 years old)
- Dietary intake and preferences: appetite, composition of typical meals, food preference, food allergy and intolerance.
- Biological parameters: hemoglobin level, thyroid function, vitamin levels
A plan will then be developed by our health care practitioners based on the child’s overall health status.
