Endometrial and Peripheral Immune Profiling

Natural killer cells (NK cells) are a type of lymphocyte, one of the types of white blood cells in our immune system. These cells are “fighters,” responsible for eliminating viral-infected cells from our bodies.
In women who have autoimmune disorders, the NK cells can react abnormally to an implanting embryo, treating it as an invading cell and signaling for the body to attack it.

Extensive studies and In Vitro investigations have revealed the ability of Intralipid (sterile infusion prepared for intravenous administration based on a blend of soya oil, egg yolk and glycerin) to suppress Natural Killer cytotoxicity and to modulate abnormal NK activity in women with reproductive failure and who have experienced recurrent miscarriage or repeated implantation failure following embryo transfer.
